Makeup Storage

For me, make-up storage is very important as it has to look nice, be accessible and practical since it is used everyday. My storage and layout changes constantly, due to enjoying looking through my collection and moving bits and bobs... pretty sad I know ... ;) After experimenting with drawers or boxes I can conclude that I prefer drawers as there's something about open boxes that doesn't look as appealing to me...

I was after the WHsmiths drawers which many bloggers and youtubers had but I couldnt find one anywhere! I asked the staff and they said they didnt stock them during the christmas months (Which is like september-feb). Whilst in Cath Kidston I spotted this beauty! They are bigger than my old storage, and deeper so my foundation can fit it as well as layering the products! As well as that I have room to expand my collection which I didnt have before, always good!

Brushes and mirror next to it
Brush holder from a little shop in Somerset, Mirror from amazon.

My old storage drawers, shown ontop but will be next to the mirror later on, are now housing wipes, packaging, cotton pads and bits and bobs. You can see that the new drawers are considerably bigger... and since the acrylic ones were only £5 less (homebase) the cath kidston ones are better value and prettier!

My set up is on my windowsill as I felt that its old home, on top of my big chest of drawers was too dark. On the windowsill I receive great natural light which is useful when seeing the true effects.
