Wishlist January 2012 - Update.
I just though I'd update you on my Wishlist of clothes. The red squares are the ones I have bought. The bottom right from new-look is no longer available along with a few other items. I have also recently bought another jumper like the blue one top left, grey which is longer and from Jack Wills Outlet. I really like them both so far! The peter pan collar top at the top has been eliminated as it wont suite me, with bigger boobs... So I found a blouse in topshop which is similar but without the collar... and it was only £12!xx

Concealer Haul
I just thought I'd share with you some concealer products I've bought recently. I was not happy with my Collection 2000 concealer, because even though it has such a hype the colour range does let it down and it was just too orange for me. I decided to stick with the same format and buy the maybelline Super Stay one instead, and am so far loving it!
With my No7 voucher I got a concealer brush for £3 which is pretty decent but does feel a little cheap. It does the trick though which is the best thing.
I was also, with my mum again, fascinated over the Soap and Glory cosmetics. I picked up the concealer too, as you can never have enough, and its a most used product of mine. Unfortunately I haven't used it properly yet due to it feeling too cakey on the skin... I need to experiment I think. But for £10 and effectively 3 products, a peach base and green based concealer with a setting powder, its good.

A Tartan tale
A Tartan Tale was launched in November 2010, I believe, and was a Scottish style collection with eyeshadow, palettes and lipstick. When on a lovely results reward shopping trip with my mum, we popped into the CCO. Now, I say popped but we went in twice and were in there for at least half and hour! My mum is pretty into MAC too, with dazzleglasses and Studio Fix Powder being her favourites.
In the CCO we went to, at Portsmouth Gunwharf Quays, the MAC stuff is at the end of the shop, so without a second thought we walked straight over. At first, I was a bit disappointed. If you know CCOs, you will know they are a sort of mish mash with pretty worn out products out which you exchange at the till. I looked at the lipsticks but none really took my fancy, with one being horribly dry and 'tuggy'. On the first visit we left, but we shortly came back after a lovely meal at Giraffe by the harbour in the sun!
I love CCO's, but you do have to look to find something nice! I was slightly disappointed as the majority of things were blue/purple/green eye shadows or GREEN?! lipsticks. However the Metal X eye shadows, big bounce eye shadows and Bare Study paint pot were there along with studio tint!
My mum bought an eye shadow from the tartan collection, Golden Crown along with a pigment from Alice and Olivia collection and a Shadestick! Next time I visit a CCO I'll be on the look out again!

This time it was less busy, being near closing time, so we had a free look at everything. I spotted the DKNY be delicious perfumes to the left of the MAC area and went for a sniff! I have always been intrigued by the be delicious perfumes as they were apple shaped... it’s the small things for me! Anyway, I settled on the be delicious Fresh Blossom one, which is sported in pink packaging. It smells divine! It was £21-24, I can’t remember which is just under 33% off! Initially, I couldn't decide if I should get it or not, but decided, What the hey!, I just got an A* and I'm proud of it!
I was looking in the ‘pot’ things they do, which is the gift sets but where you are able to see the products, and they are colour coded towards the set. I was searching between the different ones and came across the ‘Vain and Glorious Lip Bag’. It includes a tartan purse/pouch, A Lustre lipstick and a Dazzle Glass. At £19.25 it is great value, as separately they would be £30!
The lipstick is beautiful and what made me want the set, and being lustre isn’t full on which is perfect for me! It has a lovely glossy finish and just adds to my lips without being in your face, I can tell from this it’s my new best friend! It sports the usual MAC bullet but with gold detailing which I love! Its called ‘Mellow Mood’ but being part of this set from an old collection, you will need to pop into a CCO to get it, but they weren’t running out!
The dazzleglass didn't draw me in alone, but being my mum’s favourite product I figured even if I didn’t like it she could have it. Oh how I was wrong… It is a beautiful pale pink colour named ‘Baby Sparks’ which is actually in the permanent line, which on top of the lipstick gives it even more. It’s not as sticky as everybody makes out MAC dazzleglasses to be, which is very nice! It has blue/purple specs of glitter in it which give it an extra WOW.
| Swatch of the lipstick on lower lip for comparison, sheer but enhancing. |

L'OREAL True Match - Liquid foundation
L'OrĂ©al Paris True Match Foundation - £9.99
With approximately 20 shades, True Match boasts a blend-able foundation which can match almost any skin colour perfectly. I have the shade C2 Rose Vanilla which I blend in with my fingers and then buff in with a brush. I find this method gives a streak free and smooth finish. I would say the coverage is medium-full covering and evening skin but still leaving some areas of blemishes noticeable but less of that without foundation on. I use a pea sized or just bigger pump which covers my whole face. I have friends who use the same foundation and apply it with a sponge, we vary slightly in skin colour and with a good bit of blending on onto the chin and neck its not noticeable at all! I should point out this is only my second foundation and first liquid so I am not the most experienced of the bunch but as a newbie I found it very easy to work with and it makes my skin look 100x better! I would say the only negative is that when using too much it can look a bit odd and full on so using little and building it up is the way forwards for this foundation.
Rating : 8/10

Rimmel Lycra PRO nail polish
Rimmel LYCRA® PRO Colour Memory Nail Polish
£4.59 or currently on offer 2 for £6 in boots
I have another of the polishes in this range, peppermint, and find them very long lasting, and as the name suggests full on colour that lasts. This colour caught my eye as it is a musky purple with hints of grey. Looking closer it has a slight purple shimmer to it, which isnt too evident but enough to persuade me to buy it! The colour above is in Hot List. Rimmel polishes are a favourite of mine due to the nice slightly rounded brush which covers the nail in only a few swipes!

Weekly Update #1
Hey all! I'm so so so sorry I haven't posted in about a month, been really busy with GCSEs and CA and whatnot! Thankfully thats all over till April so I have a little bit of a break. Over the past month I have expanded/developed my makeup collection... not much in the fact of items but it in fact of different products and learning how to use them to the best potential. I'm on half term for the next week so more posts hopefully! I am trying to use my dads SLR so the pictures are better, and I'm too lazy to get my camera charged at the moment sorry!
- Yesterday I finally purchased the sleek storm palette! I dont know why it took me so long but its amazing, defiantly my new baby!
- Today was spend online window shopping, found some lovely things that I would love to get... but looking at the prices that is highly doubtful.

- Last weekend I went to see Olly Murs at the O2 Arena. Its fair to say it was amazing, best night of my life! He is a true amazing talent and a genuinely nice guy!
- Then after we came out to snow! We played outside the london eye at 1am before we went home! Since then we've had 2 more 'snow falls' ... I dont really have the hype this year with snow though, if it gives us a day off thats alright but theyve all been at the weekend! I havent bothered to 'play' in it this year other than in London, shame.

January Blues
...its fair to say I've sunk into the January Blues;(
Not because its january, cold wet and just after Christmas, because I've got Science REAL GCSES within the next two weeks. :(
Its so stressful and a scary prospect because this is my first real GCSE... I've done one French controlled assessment but nothing in a hall... or on a new specification. I think I've defiantly got the fear of the unknown though. I've done loads of revision, and covered every topic and stuck sheets over my wall, I just hope it goes ok.
Anyway, because of these January Blues, I'm thinking of buying some MAC stuff, yippe! I'm not getting my results for at least 3 months, but I think my reward will be after the exam as a 'its over!' instead of 'yay you passed' sort of reward.
I've been searching online, In-between revision of course;), at All that glitters and Woodwinked. They both are so pretty and All that glitters seems the go to first mac e/s and I think would look really nice over my big bounce e/s. Wookwinked is just a lovely brown/gold colour that looks as if it would complement well. I am also liking Patisserie and Hot gossip, but not sure about which shade would suit me best....
I think I'll either get one e/s and lipstick or just one overall thing, seeing as £27 seems a lot to spend on two makeup items, when one for £13.50 sounds better!
